Haveno: what it is and how to use it
Haveno is software, not a single platform: a decentralised, non-custodial P2P exchange built on Tor and Monero. It lets you trade Monero for fiat or other cryptocurrencies, but requires you to pick a third-party network.
Overview
| Category | Swaps |
|---|---|
| KYC required | No |
| Open source | to verify |
| Price | Varies by network (Oct 2026) |
| Official site | haveno.exchange |
How do you use Haveno?
- Go to haveno.exchange, typed by hand, and read what the project states.
- Choose an installation and a third-party network, since there is no official network.
- Assess the chosen network's reliability as you would any service, including on kycnot.me.
- Install on Linux, macOS or Windows and start with a small test trade.
- Give a refund address that is only yours when asked and keep the order ID, without addresses.
What are the limits and cautions?
- The project says it has been ready for Monero mainnet since Oct 2024, but there is no official network: the site itself says it endorses none.
- Since the network is third-party, reliability, liquidity and terms vary; assess case by case.
